I used to read a lot of books like this one when I was a lot younger, and I love this sort of thing. The End by Rick. I picked up this book hoping it would cover the human reading, manipulation and behavior aspects of mentalist. When I am stuck on a creation I go to this book for inspiration and ideas. That being said, I learned a lot from reading it, and I think it was a very valuable starting point.
Larry Becker’s World of Super Mentalism. A must have if you want to learn the mentalsm of mentalism. I would suggest that anyone involved in paranormal research ESP, psychics, etc. This is the essential book to have for anyone interested in Mentalism most of the Successful mentalists out there have started with this book its the bible of mentalism.

To be honest, I use more corinnda from Practical Mental Magic than 13 Steps, but this book taught me more about how stps works, which is extremely important if you want to take those skills further.
This book may not appeal to non magicians, but for those wanting to know about the art of mentalism this is still a great place to start. I just loved how detailed and step-by-step it is. And i think most professional still use trick from this book for their shows. For me it has been more of a reference book.
